Summer clothes

Spring is slowly coming and we have to start thinking about what to wear this summer, the girls have grown a lot lately so new clothes are a must. A great way to start summer sewing is joining the KCW ( kids clothes week)  Sewing clothes for your kids a whole week 1 hour a day! This week is a busy one but yesterday I managed to sew a summer short for Mila, a quick and easy project.

Vintage hankies and more.....

I have updated my etsy shop today with some limited edition items. I have printed some Onesies with Moonrise kingdom print, printed paper bags and Vintage Hankies. From all these items i have only 1 or 2 pieces so a very limited amount!

Booklove....

Yesterday I went to Amsterdam together with Sofia and spend a lovely day together. The day started at the house of Esther (babyccino) where whad a jummie brunch with her sweet and welcoming family. Then we went to the booklaunch of Ingrid's book  Kringloopgeluk in the shop of Jane ( all the luck in the world). What a great event it was, the shop was filled with lovely products and lots of creative women. Some of them I already met in real life, some of them I knew online, there was just not enough time to talk with everybody....

It was great to meet Ingrid again and her book is so nice, it's full of beautifull pictures and has a lovely vintage feel. My favorite DIY idea from this book are the handmade threadcards she made of thrifted papergoods. We left the shop with a lovely book she signed for us, vintage teacups and cute thank you notes that included a origami bird & boot.

You can never have to many bags, don't you agree? I made this big shopper for the doll with my favourite Echino fabric ( from this lovely shop) and a matching skirt too. The mini backback is made with suedine, makes it look quite real !

Fashionista

When I was a little girl I wanted to become a fashion designer, my dream grew bigger when I got older and finally I went to fashion school, I did not complete fashion school but I guess there is still a little fasion designer inside me because I simply cannot stop sewing new outfits for the dolls and rabbits. Luckily for me I have a fan living in my house called Mila, she loves the new creations I make and loves dressing up all her dolls and makes some clothes herself too ;-)

Another birthday party

 Today we celebrate a special birthday, my man turned 40 today and of course the girls and I wanted to surprise him. But what to do/ give a man of 40 ? We gave him a nice breakfast and lots of enveloppes filled with sweet cards made by the girls with gift vouchers for a dinner, a cinema visit and a weekend trip. We covered the table with brown craft table and I gave the girls a marker to decorate it. I made a little banner with ' life starts at' and decorated the wall with a big washi tape 40. I think he liked it ;-)

This is your last chance to join the Doll clothes swap, I had already some lovely reactions and really look forward on making the clothes for my swap partners, this is going to be so much fun! As you can see I have already been drawing some of the ideas I have for the doll clothes.

You can still join the doll clothes swap untill the friday the 12th april midnight.

What is the doll clothes swap?

I will make small groups of 3 to 4 people and you will make a doll outfit for each of our swap partners, you can sew the doll clothes but of course you can also knit or crochet a cute ensemble.

Foxy birthday card

Yesterday Mila recieved this lovely fox as a birthday card from Grace, she drew this fox and we love it so much!!  Mila loves foxes so I'm sure this card will get a very special place. Thank you so much Grace you are so talented! We will send you a special snailmail very soon.

Oh la la...new packaging

 The Paris D.I.Y. kits needed  new packaging, so a few weeks ago I started designing the new pacakging. I wanted to create some labels too, for the packages & orders I send out.

I love making pretty packages and think these labels will look great combined with red/white twine and simple white paper bags. Do you like the labels?  I made a few Paris label sets so you can decorate your packages too, you can find them in my Etsy shop
